Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia – 7 September, 2024 – DWDM driver Kai Daryanani makes a spectacular debut in the Australian F4 Championship with Evans GP, achieving pole position in the second qualifying session.

Daryanani makes his return to the Sepang International Circuit after last racing here in 2023 in the SEA F4 Championship, where he secured P2 in his championship debut. After a strong string of results in testing over the past week, Daryanani finished yesterday’s Free Practice session in P1 with a highly competitive 2:09.616, showing promise for the weekend.

The first qualifying session saw Daryanani put in a 2:11.599 after struggling with overnight heavy rain that altered the track conditions, putting him in P5 for Race 1. The grid for Race 2 will be determined by the finishing positions of Race 1.

In the second session, Daryanani returned to the top step, securing pole position for Race 3 on his Australian F4 debut with Evans GP. Daryanani’s time of 2:09.020 put him in a comfortable lead, with over 1.5-tenths to his teammate Tiago Rodrigues in second. The Indian driver is also debuting in the new Evans GP F4 car, with his performance showing his racing prowess and adaptability between different cars and championships.

With strong performances from Daryanani and his two Evans GP teammates, the grid is set for an action-packed weekend:
